About the department:

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care is deployed on 24 beds and provides care to patients with acute and emergency therapeutic pathologies (18 beds), as well as anesthesiological and intensive care in obstetrics (6 beds).

The majority of hospitalized patients are cardiological (acute coronary syndrome and myocardial infarction, cardiac rhythm and conduction disturbances, heart failure, pulmonary embolism, complicated hypertensive crisis, observation after various endovascular and intracardiac interventions) . In addition, assistance is provided to patients with nephrological, rheumatological, endocrinological and other emergency therapeutic pathologies. The heaviest contingent consists of patients with sepsis and multiple organ failure.

The department widely uses modern methods of laboratory diagnostics (testing the level of T-troponin, D-dimer, proBNP, presepsin, procalcitonin, a full set of routine studies) and instrumental (CAG and other angiography, EchoCG, TEE and other ultrasound, MSCT, MRI) diagnostics. The department is equipped with a modern monitoring system for vital body functions and has the ability to use all necessary treatment methods (thrombolytic therapy, emergency balloon coronary angioplasty with coronary artery stenting, temporary endocardial pacemaker, non-invasive respiratory support, invasive extended mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, electrical pulse therapy , placement of dialysis catheters).

The Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation provides round-the-clock anesthesiological and resuscitation care in obstetrics. Here are pregnant women, women in labor and postpartum women with concomitant extragenital pathology who require intensive care, intensive monitoring and belong to a high risk group.

The department specializes in:

• carrying out intensive therapy, resuscitation measures on the territory of the maternity hospital, conducting planned and emergency anesthetic treatments of any category of complexity, consultative examination of patients in the departments of the maternity hospital;
• assessing the risk of anesthesia in patients with a complicated medical history, choosing the optimal method of anesthesia;
• providing all types of anesthesia (combined endotracheal, spinal, epidural, total intravenous anesthesia).
• management of patients in the postoperative period, treatment of patients with life-threatening syndromes (preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, multiple organ failure syndrome, sepsis, life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, etc.).
• regional anesthesia for natural childbirth.

All postpartum women who have had a cesarean section are sent to the anesthesiology-resuscitation department for intensive monitoring and pain relief, where they are under the supervision of an anesthesiologist-resuscitator.
