The angiography room in the 1st City Clinical Hospital has been operating since 2003. This is one of the first endovascular surgery departments opened in the city of Minsk. In the angiography room, high-tech operations are performed to treat coronary heart disease, rhythm and conduction disorders, as well as minimally invasive operations to treat uterine fibroids. Professional training of employees and a high level of equipment allow us to provide a wide range of specialized assistance that meets the highest requirements.
Areas of work of the arrhythmology service:
implantation of pacemakers and complex high-tech devices: cardioverter-defibrillators, resynchronization devices in the treatment of CHF, event monitors.
implantation of left atrial appendage occluders in patients with atrial fibrillation and a high risk of bleeding on necessary anticoagulant therapy.
performing radiofrequency ablation of arrhythmias: isthmus-dependent atrial flutter, postoperative tachycardia, AV nodal tachycardia, Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW syndrome).
RFA of complex cardiac arrhythmias using the Carto 3 and EnSite Velocity navigation systems (surgeries for atrial and ventricular extrasystoles and tachycardias).
endovascular electrode extraction that does not require cardiac surgical support
The volume of surgical interventions for rhythm disturbances is: up to 450 endocardial electrophysiological studies and radiofrequency ablations, about 600 implantations and replacements of pacemakers and complex high-tech devices per year.
Directions of work of the interventional service of the angiography room:
diagnostic angiographic studies of coronary vessels, peripheral arteries, BCA,
diagnostic studies of coronary vessels using IVUS, OCT,
determination of fractional flow reserve (FFR),
stenting of coronary arteries in a planned and emergency manner,
recanalization (restoration) of chronic occlusions of the coronary arteries of the heart,
The volume of diagnostic studies is more than 1500 per year, coronary artery stenting more than 650 per year.
A separate area of work is endovascular embolization of the uterine arteries feeding the myomatous node. The total volume of operations is about 20 per year.
X-ray endovascular surgeons, cardiac surgeons of the highest and first qualification categories work in the angiography room. Many of them have undergone internships and regularly study in leading cardiac surgery centers in the CIS and abroad.
Professor Doctor of Medical Sciences V.V. Makeev works in the angiography room. The development of domestic cardiac pacing and arrhythmology is associated precisely with his name.
