Examination of a removed tick, free of charge, is carried out only with a doctor’s referral if persons affected by a tick bite have contraindications for prescribing preventive treatment.
In other cases, tick research is carried out for a fee.
The study of ticks to identify the causative agent of Lyme disease - Borrelia - is carried out at the State Institution "Minsk City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology".
The cost of researching one tick is 10.07 rubles.

- State Institution "Minsk City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology" , at the address: st. P Brovki, 13, laboratory building, room 102, “Reception of tests”: Monday-Friday from 8.30 to 19.30 (lunch break - 12.30 - 13.00), Saturday - from 8.30 to 15.30.
- State Institution "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Factory District" , st. Plekhanova, 18, 2nd floor, parasitology department, “Reception of tests”: Monday-Friday from 8.30 to 18.00 (lunch break - 12.30 - 13.00).

Examination of ticks to identify 4 pathogens
- tick-borne encephalitis,
- Lyme borreliosis,
- anaplasmosis,
- ehrlichiosis
is carried out only on a paid basis at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Epidemiology and Microbiology”. The cost of examining one tick for 4 infections is 45.15 rubles.
