Getting ready for the birth

You are going to give birth at our clinic. By 37-38 weeks of pregnancy, prepare in advance an “emergency suitcase” that  you will take with you to the maternity hospital, so that when labor begins, you don’t have to pack your things in a state of stress. 

Items must be packed in bags (to comply with sanitary and epidemiological regulations).

Things you need during the postpartum period and things for caring for the baby should be in separate bags. Your relatives will bring them to you after the birth.

What you should have with you when arriving for childbirth:

  1. Documents required for hospitalization:
    1. Identity document (passport, residence permit, refugee certificate)
    2. Exchange card
    3. Examinations that are available on hand (preferably)
  2. Things you should take to the maternity hospital

Things you should take to the maternity hospital (1st package):

  1. Robe
  2. Washable slippers
  3. Nightdress
  4. Body towel, intimate hygiene towel
  5. Toilet paper, napkins
  6. Hygiene supplies (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb)
  7. Drinking water
  8. Chocolate, pack of cookies
  9. Cup, spoon

Things you need after childbirth (2nd package):

  1. robe
  2. linings, pads (postpartum)
  3. nightdress
  4. disposable panties
  5. nursing bra

Things needed to care for a child (3rd package):

  1. packaging of diapers (2-5 kg.)
  2. packaging of wet wipes, baby soap
  3. towel
  4. cotton diapers 5-6 pieces
  5. flannel diapers 3-4 pieces
  6. sliders 2 pieces (optional)
  7. 2 blouses (optional)
  8. vests 2 pieces
  9. overalls 2 pieces (optional)
  10. socks
  11. Diaper rash cream
  12. baby cream for newborns

For checkout:

1. for Mom

  • cloth
  • shoes

2. for a child:

  • blanket in duvet cover or envelope (2-5 kg)
  • ribbon
  • diapers (2-5 kg) 2 pieces
  • bodysuit or vest
  • rompers, blouse
  • 2 diapers
  • 2 caps (light and warm)
