HIV test

26.11.2024

HIV infection is a chronic infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus. HIV infection can be asymptomatic for a long time, but the virus present in the body penetrates into the cells of the immune system, causing a decrease in immunity and resistance to various infectious agents. AIDS is the final stage of HIV infection.

There are no exclusive symptoms that are characteristic only of HIV infection. It is impossible to determine whether a person has HIV infection by their appearance.
