Unified Road Safety Day at the 1st City Clinical Hospital
02.09.2024
The employees of the State Health Institution "1st City Clinical Hospital" were visited by the inspector of the administrative practice department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, police lieutenant Matvey Filipenya. His visit was timed to coincide with the Unified Road Safety Day.
In a conversation with the clinic staff, the lieutenant recalled that in connection with the start of the school year in our country, from August 25 to September 5, 2024, the “Attention – Children!” campaign is taking place.
The preventive action is intended to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers, to attract everyone's attention to the problem of ensuring children's safety. For this purpose, on the days of the special event, the movement of vehicles during daylight hours is carried out with low beam headlights or daytime running lights on.
The lieutenant also noted that on August 30, 2024, on the eve of the new school year, a Single Road Safety Day will be held under the motto: "In the new school year - safe roads for everyone!" During the event, special attention will be paid to drawing public attention to the problem of injuries and deaths of children on the roads.
According to the inspector, one of the most common traffic violations in the country is speeding. In the capital, the main violations are failure to comply with stopping and parking rules, as well as driving a vehicle without a technical inspection.
At the end of the meeting, the chief physician of the clinic, Olga Esmanchik, congratulated all employees of the capital's police on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, wished them success in their service and a reduction in the number of violators.
